This small business week, McAllister Electrical Services wants to take a moment to thank our community for their support for another year! Although we are considered a small business, we never consider a job to big or small: Residential services to rewiring a 100-year-old church to bringing service to massive grain bins and more. We are honored to provide our community with service that matters.

Peter McAllister was born into the Cascade, Iowa community but has always chosen to make it home. He grew up on a farm north of town in a family of ten. There was always something to be done on the farm, and the family worked together to accomplish it. He learned hard work from his dad, who Pete says was the most important part of his life.
Pete left Cascade briefly to join the Army after highschool. Although it was a challenge, he loved his experience and the lessons he learned. He shadowed his older brother as an electrician knew it was the right career for him. As he developed his skills, he set his sights on one day opening his own business.
As many electricians in the community retired, Cascade had a need for a dependable electrical services provider. Pete saw an opportunity to serve his community, reach his goals, and make his family proud by starting his own business. Pete and his wife Chris opened their shop in 2002 and have been serving small businesses, industrial facilities, farms, and homes for the past 20 years.
McAllister Electrical Services has trained dozens of employees and shares 55+ years of experience among them. In the last 20 years they have completed over 1,865 projects!

Pete and Chris love their Cascade community and the people they get to work with every day. Owning and operating a small business is a challenge, but one that they enjoy very much. To other small businesses they say, “Enjoy the ride!”
McAllister Electrical Services has sure enjoyed the ride. Business ownership has its ups and downs, but it is always interesting. We are grateful for the journey.
